Upcoming Seasonal Items For August, September, October, November 2021 In Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Many new and returning seasonal event items are coming to Animal Crossing: New Horizons (ACNH) throughout the next four months including items for Obon, Moon-Viewing Day, Day of the Dead, and the Lantern Festival!

In this article, we’ll cover the full set of new seasonal items introduced in the Summer 2021 Update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons that can be enjoyed throughout August, September, October, and November including exactly when you can get them.

Note that if you miss any of these seasonal items on their available dates, you can freely time travel backwards to catch up and purchase missing items, but time traveling forwards in advance of event dates does not work.

Cowherd & Weaver Girl Day (August 5 to 14)

Cowherd & Weaver Girl Day is a returning seasonal event celebrating the Chinese holiday about a love story between Zhinü and Niulang. It’s held during 2021 from August 5th to 14th in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

During this seasonal period, players can purchase the following items from the Special Goods of Nook Shopping for Cowherd & Weaver Girl Day:

  • Orihime Outfit
  • Hikoboshi Outfit

Obon (August 10 to 16)

Obon is a new seasonal event celebrating the Japanese holiday where it is believed that ancestral spirits will return home. It’s held during 2021 from August 10th to 16th in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

During this seasonal period, players can purchase the following items from the Special Goods of Nook Shopping for Obon:

  • Eggplant Cow
  • Cucumber Horse

Grape Harvest Festival (September 1 to 30)

Grape Harvest Festival is a returning seasonal event taking place during the fall harvest season. It’s held during 2021 from September 1st to 30th in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

During this seasonal period, players can purchase the Grape-Harvest Basket item from the Special Goods of Nook Shopping for Grape Harvest Festival.

Moon-Viewing Day (September 12 to 21)

Moon-Viewing Day is a returning seasonal event celebrating the Japanese Tsukimi holiday where the autumn moon is honored. It’s held during 2021 from September 12th to 21st in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

However, the 2021 version of Moon-Viewing Day features two brand new items not previously available in 2020, seen in the screenshot above.

During this seasonal period, players can purchase the following items from the Special Goods of Nook Shopping for Moon-Viewing Day:

  • Dango
  • Moon Cakes
  • Moon Rug

Chuseok (September 12 to 21)

Chuseok is a new seasonal event celebrating the Korean harvest festival holiday. It’s held during 2021 from September 12th to 21st in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

During this seasonal period, players can purchase the Songpyeon item from the Special Goods of Nook Shopping for Chuseok.

Day of the Dead (October 25 to November 3)

Day of the Dead is a new seasonal event celebrating the Mexican holiday where family and friends honor the dead with what they enjoyed in their life. It’s held during 2021 from October 25th to November 3rd in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

During this seasonal period, players can purchase the Marigold Decoration item from the Special Goods of Nook Shopping for Day of the Dead.

Lantern Festival (November 1 to 11)

Lantern Festival is a new seasonal event celebrating the European holiday St. Martin’s Day where children often carry paper lanterns. It’s held during 2021 from November 1st to 11th in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

During this seasonal period, players can purchase the Handheld Lantern item from the Special Goods of Nook Shopping for Lantern Festival.

Shichi-Go-San (November 11 to 20)

Shichi-Go-San is a new seasonal event celebrating the Japanese holiday where rituals are held for girls aged 3 and 7, and boys aged 3 and 5. It’s held during 2021 from November 11th to 20th in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

During this seasonal period, players can purchase the Chitose Ame item from the Special Goods of Nook Shopping for Shichi-Go-San.
