Animal Crossing amiibo Card packs will contain 3 cards in Europe, see the packaging

New information, including packaging, has been discovered from Nintendo Norway’s website on the distribution of Animal Crossing amiibo Cards in Europe.

Animal Crossing amiibo Cards will come in blind packs containing 3 cards, including one guaranteed special card, in Europe. Special cards refer to the cards for special characters in Animal Crossing like Tom Nook, Isabelle, and Digby. These cards are special as the only way to design those character’s homes in Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer is to use their amiibo card, unlike regular villagers which are not required.

This matches up with the setup in Japan which is essentially identical to this. For reference, the 3-pack of cards in Japan will cost 300 yen, which roughly converts to about £1.50 at this time. Based on this, we can probably expect a price of around 3 pounds in the UK.

In North America however, it’s a bit different: Animal Crossing amiibo Cards will come in blind packs containing 6 cards, including one guaranteed special card, presumably attached to a higher price tag to offset it. My prediction is $5 per pack, but that’s just speculation at this time. When we have the complete pricing for all regions, then we’ll be able to make a fair price-per-card comparison.

Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer launches across Europe on October 2nd, after the North American release on September 25th and Japanese release on July 30th. Stay tuned to our release date countdown page here!
